This is an unforgettable trip through Yucatán and part of Chiapas state (Maya culture), which begins and ends on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
We will travel through the territorial zones of the modern states of Quintana Roo, Campeche, Chiapas, Tabasco and the Yucatán.
Among other attractions, whose beauty and cultural and historical value is recognized by the world community we will visit – Tulum and its stunning structures on the Caribbean coast; lagoon Bacalar with its fresh waters of seven colors; the city of Chetumal with its Caribbean flavor; Kohunlich with its bright castle with masks of the Sun God; Bekan and its monumental buildings with high towers; The town of Palenque with its peculiar Indian atmosphere; the ruins of Palenque, hidden in the jungle; a small coastal part of the Gulf of Mexico; Campeche is a city surrounded by a fortified wall; Uxmal and its perfect architectural beauty; The city of Merida and its stunning constructions in colonial and neoclassical styles; Chichen Itza and its marvelous Maya Toltec buildings; the lake “Ik-Kil” and its refreshing crystal waters, in the middle of the peninsula.
Day 1. Tulum – the lagoon of Bacalar – Chetumal.
Our program begins with a visit to the ancient commercial port of Maya Tulum (XII-XVI century AD), located on a cliff near the Caribbean coast. Among other buildings – administrative, social and religious purpose, there are the “Castle” or the main pyramid, the temple of the descending god, the palace, the house of the priest and the temple of frescoes. The best photos and views on the background of Caribbean waves in these places are guaranteed to you. In the second part of our trip we will visit the “seven-colored lagoon” Bacalar, named so in honor of the seven underground lakes, mixing their waters in its waves. It is impossible to give up the pleasure of a refreshing swim in these magical waters! Bacalar was an ancient place for the settlement of the Maya Indians, which was restored by the Spanish colonialists during the conquest of Mexico, and in their place they built “Fort San Felipe” to repel attacks of English pirates. In the afternoon we will get to Chetumal, the capital of the state of Quintaro, which is located on the border with Belize near the Caribbean coast. Day 2. Kohunlich – Bekan – the town of Palenque.
In the early morning we will visit the archaeological town of Kohunlich, which is located in the deepest part of the selva in the south of the peninsula and is surrounded by palm trees and sugarcane. Kohunlich is distinguished by a special variety of ritual, social and administrative buildings, as well as its own system of rain channels. This city reached the apogee of its development in 600-900 AD, leaving us with such constructions as the temple of the sun god, decorated with 9 masks in red and black tones, of which only 5 survived; area with stellas; field for playing ball. Our walk will continue with a visit to the famous city of Becana (600-1000 AD), the regional capital of small Indian settlements in an area called “Rio Beck”, surrounded by a large protective moat, to which seven approaches were made. The architecture of this city is monumental – large structures with tall and narrow towers on both sides of the main temples, its administrative zone is decorated with decorations in the form of large panels and blocks in checkerboard order. In the afternoon we will arrive in the town of Palenque. Accommodation at 4 * hotel (Nututun or equivalent).

Day 3. Ruins of Palenque – the Gulf of Mexico – Campeche.
Our day will begin with a visit to Palenque – the “magic city”, whose flourishing reached its highest peak in the 7th century AD. His most notable and stunning designs – the ritual, social and administrative designation of the reign of the “Pakal”, the palace, the field for playing ball, the main square with the famous “pyramid of inscriptions” construction, the sarcophagus of the great king was found in it in 1952. The lush vegetation of the selva around this city gives special grandeur and naturalism to the old buildings. In the afternoon, while moving to the city of Campeche, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of Mexico. In the evening we will visit the city of Campeche (1540) – the capital of the state of Campeche, which is on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Most of the city wall in 1704 was preserved and served, at one time, a reliable protection against pirates. Thanks to efforts to preserve it, the remains of the wall and its surroundings were recognized as part of the world cultural heritage in 1999. Day 4. Uxmal – Merida.
Our program continues acquaintance with the structures of ancient Uxmal (VI-XII century AD), located on the only elevation of the Yucatan peninsula -low mountain ridge “Puuk”. Among other constructions, one can note the predictor pyramid and its elliptical shape; a large royal court of religious and administrative design, known today as the “Rectangle of Nuns”; the governor’s palace with its refined scenery in the form of snakes and the deity “Chaak” (god of water), standing on a limestone, mosaic, carved foundation; ball game. In the evening, transfer to the city of Merida (1542) – the capital of the State of Yucatán, where we will take a walk through the picturesque streets, squares and “Boulevard de Montejo”. It will attract attention to the majestic buildings of the early 20th century in the style of neoclassicism. Accommodation at 5 * hotel (El Español or equivalent).

Day 5. Chichen Itza – Lake Ik-Kil – Cancun / Riviera Maya.
On this last day of our trip we will visit Chichen Itzu (V-XII century AD) “the city of sorcerers of water”, recognized as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. During our excursion, among other Maya-Toltec culture monuments, we note the “Castle” or the “Pyramid of Kukulkan” – an impressive construction of archeology and astronomy, famous for the descent of the god of the “Feathered Serpent”, formed by triangles of light and shade at sunset in the days of the solar Equinox; Temple of Warriors, a complex of “Thousand Columns”, a field for playing ball. We will continue our walk by swimming in a refreshing underground lake with crystal waters called Ik-Kiel. Our day ends with a transfer to the hotel-in Cancun or on the Riviera Maya.
